Whenever i heard the term Stress Management, i bother on it because in my understanding we manage things which are precious to us. Our families, our businesses, our money, our property whatever is important to us, we will manage that. Why would somebody want to manage stress? its a bothering question!. i personally realise that people have made a conclusion that stress is an extra limb that they have in their body, stress is an appendage that they cannot rid of, stress is not a part of you, you get stressful b/c you do not know how to handle your mind.
Now attentions has been made how to handle mind, how to handle emotions, how to handle this body, how to handle energies. Nothing has been done about it, You are managing such a sophisticated system accidently, so you being stressful is a natural outcome of such an unconscious living there is no other way to be, dont think your job is stressful. Now you are student, being a student is stressful, if you dont get a job when you come out of the uni, that is stressful, if you get a job even more stressful, if you don’t marry it is stressful, if you get marry it is more stressful haha!. if we don’t have children, it is stressful, if you have children you pull your hair out with stress.
So it is not your job or life situations which are stressful, This happening to people because of their inability to handle this system. If we do simple engineering process, just 30 minutes a day, toady you take your pulse rate before or after food, do it for 7 weeks check your pulse rate you will see it will considerably down which essentially shows with the same level of activity. this is a simple indicator, there are many other same parameters that you can check, but this is a simplest indicator for which you dont have to go to any library you can check it yourself. The lowering of pulse with the same level of activity indicates that your system is going at an easier pace that means its working much more efficiently.
if you drive your car @ 2000 rpm, the engine may lasts 1000 kms/miles, if you drive the same engine at 500 rpm, it may last only 50000 miles or less. Simply because its unnecessarily rived up.
Encountering Stress is an art, different people have different strategies to manage stress. Some do their routine works to manage stress, some follow hobbies, sports. what is required is to keep your mind going either in way of thinking, meditation , brainstorming whatsoever. Think of ABC technique to manage stress
A: Always take your time for yourself 30 mins every day
B: be aware of your stress cycle, when to set back and cool down
C: Concentrate on yourself, physically and mentally
So management skills are of much importance in handling stress. The more you are adept in tackling issues of daily life the more you be able to handle stress.
